Privacy Policy

Last updated: September 13, 2026

Roometer is a mobile app that helps roommates share a home — splitting chores, tracking shared bills, keeping a shared fridge organized, voting on house decisions, and chatting. This policy explains what information Roometer collects, how it's used and protected, and the choices you have, including deleting your account.

Who this policy covers

This policy applies to the Roometer mobile app and to roometer.app. Roometer is operated by Said Belwahed, operating as Roometer ("Roometer," "we," "us," or "our").

Information we collect

Roometer collects only what it needs to run the features you actually use:

We don't collect your precise location or your contacts. Roometer has no analytics or advertising tracking of any kind, and we don't build advertising profiles.

How we use your information

We use the information above only to operate Roometer's actual features:

We do not sell your information, and we do not share it with advertisers.

Who can see your information

Roometer is built around a single shared house. The members of your current house can see your name, your chosen color, and the chores, bills, fridge activity, votes, and chat messages associated with your house. People outside your house — including other Roometer users in different houses — cannot see your house's information.

We use Supabase to host Roometer's database, manage sign-in, and store photos. We don't sell your information, and we don't share it with advertisers or other third parties for marketing purposes. We require Supabase to protect Roometer data under its data-processing agreement with us. We may disclose information if required by law, to protect the rights or safety of Roometer or our users, or as part of a merger, acquisition, or sale of the business — in which case we'd let you know.

How long we keep your information

We keep your information for as long as your account is active. When account deletion completes, your personal profile and sign-in information are removed; some information shared with your former house (like bill history) stays on record so their history stays accurate, as described below. Backups of deleted data may remain for a short period afterward before being permanently removed.

Deleting your account

You can permanently delete your Roometer account at any time from Profile ▸ Delete account inside the app. Our account deletion page explains the steps, but deletion itself always happens in the app, not on this website. Deleting your account is real and permanent, not a soft "deactivation":

Your rights and choices

You can access, correct, or delete your information at any time through the app, as described above. If you have a question or request about your information that isn't covered here, contact us at support@roometer.app and we'll do our best to help.

Children's privacy

Roometer is intended for people 18 and older. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we'll remove it.

Security

We use industry-standard measures to protect your information, including encrypted connections between the app and our servers, and database-level access rules that ensure a person can only see the information their own house is entitled to see. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information appropriately.

International use

Roometer is intended to be available worldwide. Because of this, your information may be processed and stored in a country other than your own, including wherever our service providers operate.

Governing law

This policy is governed by the laws of Morocco. This does not remove any privacy or consumer rights that the law in your country requires us to provide.

Changes to this policy

If we make material changes to this policy, we'll update the date above and, where required, let you know through the app.
